Our Mission
Second Chance Animal Rescue and Adoption is committed to saving abused and homeless animals and rehabilitating them for proper adoption to loving, forever homes.

Every dog deserves a forever home and a second chance at a healthy, happy life. A Second Chance means never giving up on a dog – EVER! Even if they are old, or sick or have a bad attitude because of being treated cruelly in the past.

Dogs give us unconditional love, companionship and comfort. They are a lifetime commitment. They are not exchangeable. They are
not disposable. They should never be given up, chained, or coerced to fight, or kept against their nature for our amusement.

We don’t shy away from even the hard-luck cases that require expensive vet care or behavior training. Our volunteer foster program
helps rescued dogs readjust to living with people and other pets. And with a little luck, these furry friends get adopted at one of our Adoption Day events, and go home with a new forever family.

Rescue is just the beginning. We also must educate people to discourage owner give ups. We must encourage adoption and spay/neutering and demand stricter laws to protect animals and make those who neglect, abandon or abuse animals pay dearly. 
Only then will we be fixing the roots of the problem.

Second Chance dogs are fully vetted and adoptive families are carefully screened. Adoptions are held every Saturday and Sunday at
local shopping centers.
